Facilitator Bio

Dr. Trelaunda Beckett-Jones is a respected visionary, transformational leader, game changer, clinician and educator who has a deep passion and purpose for empowering people to become a better version of themselves, holistically--personally and professionally. As a community builder and with a professional life that spans over 25 years in a plethora of areas including education, government, health & wellness, leadership, and counseling, Dr. BJ as she is sometimes affectionately called, is committed to service.

A life-long learner, Dr. Beckett-Jones received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Fisk University, a Master of Arts Degree in Counseling Psychology and Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Bowie State University.

Her love for education and investing in the lives of those who thirst for knowledge to enhance their lives afforded Dr. BJ to serve in numerous roles such as clinician, rehabilitation specialist, professor, Associate Vice President & Dean of Students and Interim Chief Student Development and Success Officer. Dr. Beckett-Jones has memberships in several non-profit, civic & professional organizations and has received numerous awards from community organizations. As a sought-after speaker, Dr. BJ has conducted over 50 presentations for professional (i.e. International Conference on Urban Education, National Association of Student Affairs Professionals), government and faith-based entities. She also provides service to business entities such as GoDaddy Customer Council (member), Fairygodboss Network & Software Company (Expert VIP) and Lean In Together, Inc. (peer group facilitator, Minneapolis Chapter).
